Yamaha World Adventure Route: South Route (Ushuaia, Torres del Paine to Osorno)

Experiencing South America from South to North through Patagonia is an unforgettable adventure, starting in the southernmost points of the continent at Ushuaia in Argentina and Punta Arenas in Chile.

The journey begins with the raw beauty of Tierra del Fuego before heading up Argentina’s legendary Route 40, a long stretch of highway that weaves through the stunning Patagonian Steppe, crossing remote towns, rugged mountains, and vast valleys.

After crossing into Chile, the route then joins the Carretera Austral, also known as Route 7, where the landscape transforms dramatically into dense forests, fjords, and snow-capped peaks.

This famous highway connects Puerto Montt to Villa O'Higgins, offering some of the most picturesque and challenging roads in South America. The final leg of the journey takes you to Osorno, where the towering volcanoes and lakes of the Chilean Lake District mark the end of a thrilling ride that has spanned the untamed beauty of two countries, blending diverse ecosystems, remote wilderness, and exhilarating motorcycle terrain.
